| This is a rare, early electric lamp in a hand polished, raw, satin brass finish. I did this finish to remove layers of paint that had been put on over the years. This lamp was probably installed in the Portland, Maine area around 1910-1915. The pull chain sockets are Harvey Hubbell with cast acorn finials. What is unique about these are the way the shell and cap thread together. The original interiors are intact, as well as the original insulators. The fitters are Hubbell 2¼" UNO, the two-part type that grab hold of the non-threaded, early style socket. Measurements are: 15 inches wide at the elbows. 21 inches wide with the glass shades. 21 inches long to bottom of shades. 6 inch diameter glass. The glass shades are period, and were found with the light fixture. No cracks, or chips, very minor scratching. My guess is these are Gasoliers from the 1890s. Acid etched with a nice pattern. |
| The sockets up close. All floral screws are intact. One socket has a very minor crack just above the horn. |
