This antique bridge lamp
was brought to me because
the lamp shade would not
stay on the socket, and the
socket kept falling apart. It
was brought to a "Repair
Man" and
this was how it
was repaired! That's
Gorilla Glue all over the
light. Why the harp bottom
is there is anyone's guess.

The photo below shows
another repair on the same
lamp. The arm would not
thread in properly. Once
again,
Gorilla Glue was
used. A nice, subtle job
there!
Below is the repair done by me. That's a solid brass socket designed to
take a UNO shade, which threads onto the bottom of the socket. I also
re-threaded the arm for a much tighter, cleaner repair.
